When inspired youth meets the genre experts
Since 2010 Naâman illumines the French reggae scene with his groovy flow, his clear and invigorating voice. The young singer revives the reggae legends borrowing continuous rhythmic and engaged messages from raggamuffin and hiphop styles. After being elected as Revelation of 2013 by the Reggae Victories (Reggae.fr / France) Naâman is back on June 4th 2013 with his brand new album Deep Rockers Back A Yard! Advisories to them who didn't hear yet his explosive flow, Naâman will delights heart and ears!
With Fatbabs his long standing associate dj and beatmaker they are taking inspiration from old school riddims from 70' and 80' like productions from Studio One, Black Ark Studio or King Jammy, the ones which made the legend of reggae music. His flow comes from reggae's roots voices as Dennis Brown, Junior Murvin et Joe Higgs perfectly combined with the Jamaican new roots flows like Sizzla, Capleton, Chezidek or Lutan Fayah for a breathtaking result! This is then worked and well arranged with some hiphop influences this social and cultural movement which cradles youth from all over the world. Naâman and Fatbabs produce with this new recipe a brand new sound, an intelligent and skilful mix of reggae roots vibe and hiphop's dynamic from modern-days.
In 2012 the sing jay made a big French tour with more than 70 dates meeting his fans but the others too who listened Deep Rockers his first mixtape. It has been worked well by Fatbabs and has a resounding success including a urban melodic and transcendent "Skanking Shoes". Naâman created a buzz on the web and the hit has been viewed on Youtube more than 600 000 times in one year! People who had their skanking shoes this summer 2012 remember it!
Today he's returning on the front of the stage with Deep Rockers Back A Yard recorded in Jamaica in Harry J studios with the help of Sam Clayton (Toots & The Maytals) and Stephen Stewart (Burning Spear). The brand new album is covering some of their first mixtape's tracks like the sublime "Freedom", but offers new pearls too as "House Of Love" and "Rebel For Life" featuring Cutty Ranks. We must not forget "One Day" the acoustic jewel which is the only one recorded in Normandie (France) Naâman's land with his original band.
A new project with an highly significant name for that young musicians who finally met their elders and worked with gender experts preserving with care Naâman's urban style and ancestral sonorities of Jamaican reggae music. Sly Dunbar (drums), Daniel "Axeman" Thompson (bass) and Dalton Browne (guitar) added their experimented touch and supported the young formation in that musical and intergenerational adventure! Clash of cultures is more than positive thanks to Fatbabs who gave a new color to this Jamaican sound with his modern inspiration and his passion for street culture and hiphop music! An ingenious crossover that makes you feel better and makes you believe again in the new generation! When inspired youth meets the gender experts, when just music can express that mix of culture...
Naâman embodies youth's real and natural energy of our world , positivity and life are his priority... This angel face will continue to give us smile! In live it's like a tingling feeling which will take you from head to foot, his explosive sound and incredible energy leaves nobody indifferent!
