Lieutenant Foxy
Lieutenant Foxy
- Bio
Reggae Dub is back!!
Lieutenant Foxy is miles away from being an upstart. Originating from the French reggae and sound system scene (he has been playing for over 15 years and has toured with the like of MC Jamalski, Carl Dawkins, Miniman…), and after skimming through France and Europe with the SOUND SYSTEM H collective, he fi nally arrives with his fi rst opus.
Creator of the « Ital dub » genre, lauding a step back towards the roots of reggae music, Foxy has been collaborating on this « Dub & Vocals in my central station » project with Winston Mc Anuff, Seyni Kouyate (Seyni & Yeliba), Pupa Claudio, Papa Nico B (Double Embrouille Sound System) and Aymeric Hainaux
(young prodigy of the Human Beat Box ).The arrangements and mixes were performed by Gerald « Prince Finger » Dumollard (Live sound engineer of Groundation, Sugar Minott, Dennis Alcapone, Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigators…).
An album made on a « traditional » jamaican pattern : A-side vocals, B-side dubs.
The album is highly supported by the REGGAE SUN SKA festival (the oldest reggae festival in France where he has been an offi cial resident for 10 editions). Foxy is also a defender of the Tibetan cause, for which he openly takes position.- Audio
